lyrics

Tell me, where are the stars?
The sky of the night so cold and dark, yet all too light
with naer a sparkle to spare.

And tell me, where are the snows?
No longer can they be found in sky or on ground
but regeneration is restricted where frost no longer grows.

These things have faded, left broken and decayed.
As the wheel continues to turn what else will fade?

And tell me, where are the rivers?
That once flowed so free, since time eternal, long before
what has become of these life givers?

And tell me, where are the trees?
Once towering so tall providing food and shelter for all.
Cut down in their prime leaving not trunk, bow or leaves

Holding on to a fading light.
